Introducing Daily Email Quotas for Stock Notifications
To ensure fair usage and service stability, Stock Notifier now applies a daily email quota — 20 emails per day, with one notification per product per day.
We’re making a change to how Stock Notifier delivers email notifications. Email delivery will be subject to a daily quota starting January 1, 2025.
What’s changing
Previously, Stock Notifier sent emails without any limit — every back-in-stock event triggered a notification regardless of volume. Going forward:
- 20 emails per day per store, across all tracked products.
- One notification per product per day — if a product restocks multiple times in a single day, only the first event triggers an email.
Why we’re doing this
Unlimited email delivery was unsustainable at scale. The quota protects service reliability for all users and keeps Stock Notifier fast and affordable. The limits are designed to cover the vast majority of normal usage without any noticeable impact.
What this means for you
Most stores will never hit the daily cap. If your store tracks a high volume of products and sees frequent restocks, you may want to prioritize the products most important to your customers.
We’ll be monitoring usage patterns and may adjust quota levels in future updates based on what we learn.
